the republican party couldn't stop producing all that discourse about asia, about china. asian americans are sitting there listening to this. and they're like, "that's kind of crazy." you know? they couldn't stop with all that homophobia. gay americans are sitting there thinking, "you know, these people are nuts, man. do i want them four years in office?" and the latino community spent the last four years being a punching bag for this country's economic decline and being sort of connected one to one with this idea that latinos are all criminal -- illegal immigrants -- you know, undocumented. and so i think lots of folks were thinking, you know, "this guy is no good." now will it ever be this clear again? will folks feel that this one candidate is against all of them? i'm not sure. but it's a lot of power for the first time. >> but part of the republicans got it. there are some people in washington, on capitol hill, who say, "we got the message. and we're going to change." what if they pivot? >> well, but wouldn't it be nice to have a real conservative party in this countr
